A bold idea becomes a reality

901 meters above sea level, eight meters into the open air, well anchored in the rock wall. Fantastic views of Rondane National Park, farmsteads and settlements. Eagle Nest Eco Lodge will give you an airy and majestic experience you will never forget.
This spectacular structure on the Sershaugen rock outcrop will be well hidden in the landscape. Eagle Nest Eco Lodge joins the sustainable buildings and solutions of the future.

We gently construct the building

Without access to road or water, we will raise this architectural gem from the ground and into the air. Our idea and goal is to reduce the building’s environmental impact in all phases of the project, from design and construction to the use of recycled materials. We want as little encroachment on nature as possible from start to finish. While we care deeply about this project and the outcome, it’s just as important to us that we protect our natural environment.

A unique experience opens summer 2021

Eagle Nest Eco Lodge, with its luxurious yet traditional design, will be a unique accommodation experience for two people. This is possible by using our own forest, local raw materials and local producers. In a self-sufficient “easy-living-solution”, we will show how we can live in harmony with nature in a more sustainable way.
This is a climate-positive experience with a high recreation factor!
